Job summary

Entergy Louisiana, LLC is seeking a Lineworker Helper to Lineworker Sr. in the Jefferson, Louisiana area. The role spans multiple levels (Helper to Sr.) with responsibilities from safety-focused fieldwork to advanced primary switching up to 34,500 volts.

A CDL is required, and relocation assistance is not provided within 45 miles of the service area HQ. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 4 years in a distribution field; preferred 2 years of direct linework.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months - 4 years of experience in a distribution field; placement by level.
• Preferred: 2 years of direct Distribution linework experience.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must have, and maintain, a Class-A CDL or obtain one within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Learning and understanding human performance and safety tools and their usage in day-to-day work.
• Operate Aerial Bucket, Bread Vans, and Digger Derrick Trucks.
• Read and understand job prints and sketches with reference to distribution standards.
• Perform overhead tasks and basic linework as required across levels.
