Job summary

Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community is hiring for a part-time Laundry Aide, working Thursdays and Fridays 2pm–10:30pm with every other weekend/holiday shift. Responsibilities include washing, drying, folding resident laundry, and delivering items promptly while maintaining order.

The role requires a High School diploma (preferred), fluent English, basic math, and reliable attendance. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Perform simple calculations.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean laundry according to trained procedures (sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, iron, fold).
• Deliver resident clothing and linens timely, neatly and accurately.
• Label resident clothing, fill out inventory sheet and log it.
• Log missing clothing and look for it.
• Maintain a clean area and equipment.
