Job summary

Greenville Gardens is seeking a reliable Laundry/Housekeeping Associate to perform daily laundry duties, ensure sanitation, and coordinate with staff to meet residents' needs. The role includes sorting, washing, drying, folding, and returning items while maintaining equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities also cover inventory coordination for new residents, reporting unmarked items, and supporting environmental cleanliness across resident areas.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalency preferred.
• One year’s work experience in a commercial establishment with knowledge of laundry/housekeeping procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day laundry department activities to ensure quality service and compliance with regulations.
• Coordinates inventories of clothing and personal items for new residents.
• Sorts soiled laundry and prepares items for washing; operates washing/drying equipment.
• Ensures sanitation and cleanliness of environment and linens for resident safety and comfort.
• Returns laundry to residents and reports unmarked clothing to social services.
• Maintains and cleans laundry equipment; replenishes cleaning products.
• Coordinates routine housekeeping tasks in various areas and supports vacancy coverage.
• Collaborates with residents, nurses, physicians, and staff on laundry service requests and infection prevention.
