Greenville Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a Laundry Aide to support the Environmental Services Department. Responsibilities include loading laundry machines, processing linens, sorting and delivering items to resident areas, and maintaining a clean work environment.
The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, endurance for walking and standing, and basic English literacy. Prior housekeeping or healthcare experience is preferred, and a Level 2 AHCA background check is required.
We are currently seeking candidates for our Laundry Aide position within the Environmental Services Department.
In this role, you will be responsible for loading laundry machines and processing laundry to clean linens. Removes and sorts linens and clothing from dryers. Operates washers and dryers using prescribed cleaning methods. Maintains a high level of quality and safety.
Collects soiled linens and clothing and sorts articles for washing
Checks marking on residents' clothes and other linens of the facility and mark as required if necessary
Inspects articles for wear and tear
Delivers clothing, linens, and other articles to appropriate place in the facility (i.e., resident rooms, linen closets, dietary department, etc.)
Cleans equipment and work area in the laundry daily and as necessary
Must be able to lift without restrictions
The position demands continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing.
The work requires the occasional lifting of items weighing over 50 pounds.
The duties necessitate considerable dexterity, hand, foot, and eye coordination, and concentration as well as visual acuity to see dirt, dust and debris.
Complete other duties as assigned
Experience in housekeeping preferred
Experience in healthcare preferred
Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with Eligible status AHCA Background
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
