Job summary

Artesia-Palms-Care-Center is seeking a dependable laundry associate to maintain clean linens for residents. You will collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, label, and deliver laundry while following sanitary procedures.

This role requires a GED or High School Diploma, up to one year of experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will operate industrial washers and dryers in a supportive healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform routine laundry tasks.
• Must be able to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
