Job summary

PACS is seeking a dependable laundry/housekeeping aide to support a nursing home by maintaining clean linens and a sanitary environment for residents. You will sort, wash, dry, fold, label, and deliver linen to resident rooms, ensuring timely availability and quality for resident comfort.

Qualifications include a GED or high school diploma, with 1 year of experience preferred. You must read and follow laundry/housekeeping directions, perform basic math, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms
• Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties; maintain inventory of laundry supplies
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator
