Aviara Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable Laundry Attendant to support resident care by washing, sorting and delivering clean linens and clothing. You will follow sanitation procedures, maintain equipment and manage supplies, with emphasis on safety and accuracy in daily tasks.

Requirements include a GED or high school diploma and about 1 year of experience preferred; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a stable work ethic in a healthcare setting. We encourage diverse applicants.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: GED or High School Diploma; 1 year of experience preferred.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.

Responsabilités

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed; sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use laundry equipment safely and report equipment issues to the Administrator.
