Job summary

Monroeville Post Acute is seeking a general laundry/housekeeping associate to support our Monroeville facility. You will prepare and deliver clean linen, manage inventory, and keep laundry areas sanitary in a post-acute setting.

The ideal candidate holds a GED or high school diploma and has about one year of prior experience. This on-site role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator
