Job summary

Gordon Memorial Hospital in Gordon, NE is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to perform cleaning and laundry duties under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, ensuring a sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, attention to infection control, ability to read/write English, and prior experience in long-term care housekeeping/laundry is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in housekeeping/laundry in long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and infection control.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic math for supplies and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services resident rooms, offices, hallways, dining room, activity room and other ancillary areas.
• Ensures daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to and infection control policies followed.
• Maintains a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Operates cleaning and laundry equipment safely and reports defects.
• Collects, sorts, and processes soiled laundry, linen, clothing, etc.
• Coordinates daily laundry services with nursing staff when needed.
• Completes daily documentation and maintains supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
