The State of Oklahoma seeks a Linen and Clothing Specialist at the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center to perform laundry and sewing tasks, including mending, alterations, and maintenance of clothing and draperies. This on-site role supports a state facility with non-negotiable salary levels across four career levels.

In this role, you will operate laundry and sewing equipment, sew and alter garments, manage material inventories, and ensure items are prepared for delivery.

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements vary by level (I–IV).
• Level II requires 6 months of related experience.
• Level III requires 1 year of related experience.
• Level IV requires 3 years of related experience, with possible substitutions for offender contact.
• Some agencies allow substitution of direct offender contact for experience.

Responsabilités

• Operates washers, dryers, mangles, pressers and irons.
• Sews by hand or machine, mends, alters and repairs clothing and linens; maintains draperies.
• Prepares items for delivery by hanging and ticketing.
• Maintains cleanliness and performs basic machine maintenance.
• Keeps inventory and tracks laundry and clothing supplies.
