650 Department of Veterans Affairs in Claremore, OK is seeking a Linen/Clothing Specialist to handle laundry, sewing, alterations, and mending for clothing, linens, and draperies at a state facility.

The position is full-time with a largely daytime shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and may include weekends. Level I pay is $13.56/hour and Level II is $14.43/hour; familiarity with sewing and laundering equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a commercial or institutional laundry, or commercial sewing/mending experience.
• Proficiency in English to perform essential functions.
• Ability to operate sewing machine and follow patterns.

Responsabilités

• Operate washers, dryers, mangles, pressers and irons.
• Sew by hand or machine, mend and alter clothing and linens.
• Prepare items for delivery and hang draperies.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean.
• Maintain adequate sewing materials and laundry supplies.
