Job summary

Qualifications

• Level I requires no formal education; entry level training provided.
• Level II adds six months in laundry or sewing-related work.
• Level III requires one year in laundry or sewing work.
• Level IV requires three years in laundry or sewing or related supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates washers, dryers, mangles, pressers and irons.
• Sews by hand or machine; maintains and repairs clothing and linen items.
• Prepares items for delivery and ensures supplies are stocked and available.
• May supervise other staff at higher levels and maintain records.
