Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in San Diego is seeking a Laundry Worker for the Textile Care Unit. You will receive bulk linen shipments, store linens, and prepare linen orders and special orders for distribution.

Responsibilities include delivering linen to units, marking textiles as government property, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Work schedule is 5:00AM–1:30PM, Wed–Sun.

• There is no education substitute for this position.

Responsibilities

• Receive bulk lots of linens from finishing units and store clean linens.
• Process individual linen orders and prepare orders for shipment to units.
• Deliver linen to units in a timely manner and clean delivery carts prior to stocking.
• Receive and fulfill linen special orders, and deliver requested items promptly.
• Mark textiles (linens, uniforms, scrubs) as government property and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
