Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Linen Attendant to manage daily linen inventory and ensure clean supplies are available for patient care and hospital operations. This role emphasizes accuracy in distribution and collaboration with hospital staff.

The position requires adherence to infection control guidelines, timely loading and unloading of scrub areas, and support for a quality patient and family experience. High school education preferred with prior linen distribution experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 1 year linen distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of clean linen and ensure supplies meet daily needs.
• Distribute linen promptly and accurately for patients, staff, and facilities.
• Load and unload scrub areas and assist with other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Linen Attendant is responsible for maintaining an inventory of clean linen to meet the daily needs of the facility and ensure that it is delivered in a timely manner, meeting infection control guidelines, and assisting in the promotion of a quality experience for our patients and their families, staff, and for those individuals who use our facility on a daily basis. Responsible for prompt and accurate distribution of linen, utilizing a computerized linen management system, receiving clean linen deliveries from the laundry, loading and unloading of scrub areas and other duties as assigned.
