Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a part-time Laundry/Housekeeping associate at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital, responsible for handling, inspecting, and processing linen stocks, assembling linen packs, and maintaining a clean work area.

The role requires basic education, physical stamina, and the ability to work weekends/holidays; onsite at 45 Francis Street with a day shift, and pay range $17.71-$22.15 hourly.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Knowledge of laundry procedures required.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions.

• Maintains laundry areas and equipment; keeps areas neat, orderly, and safe.

Job Summary

Summary:
Responsible to handle, inspect and process new and clean linen stocks and assembles linen packs and issues linen. Also cleans the work area and performs any related tasks as assigned or instructed

• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner. Stacks linens by folding items.
• Maximizes laundry production by monitoring workload requirements, equipment capacity, and operator availability.
• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Checks stock and notifies Supervisor of supply needs

Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience laundry/housekeeping experience 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of laundry procedures required. - Possess the ability to work in a self-supervised capacity on weekends and holidays. - Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
