Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman/Lineman with progression through five grade levels for transmission line construction and maintenance in the Cheyenne, WY area.

The role involves work on energized and de-energized systems, with responsibilities spanning work orders, prints, time sheets, and safety compliance. Wage levels vary by grade (I–Journeyman) with posted ranges; actual offer depends on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electric utility line work or related discipline.
• Acceptable Line School certificate or equivalent education/experience.
• Be able to meet DOT CDL requirements within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs, supervises, and trains others in line construction and maintenance on transmission systems.
• Interprets prints, prepares time sheets, material tickets, and inspection reports.
• Maintains first-aid readiness and ability to perform pole-top resuscitation.
• Ensures safety rules are observed by all coworkers.
• Maintains CDL and operates DOT-regulated vehicles.
• Leads crew in absence of Line Foreman, including planning and execution.
