Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to various job sites as needed, and report to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include live-line work, operating bucket trucks and other equipment, and maintaining safety protocols in all conditions. Physical, travel, and overtime requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of relevant field experience.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, emergencies and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, and near energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers and other overhead line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques and troubleshoot fault locations.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and insulated protective equipment.
