Job summary

Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) in Bryan, TX is seeking an Apprentice Lineman to perform overhead and underground electric line construction and maintenance. You may climb poles, operate an aerial lift, drive trucks, and load/unload materials in a team setting.

This non-exempt, full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 am–3:30 pm) with additional hours as needed. You must obtain a Texas Class A CDL within 180 days of employment. Those with Lineman experience may start higher.

Qualifications

• Experience or ability to perform overhead/underground line work.
• Climb poles and work from an elevated platform.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Operate line construction equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhead and underground line construction and maintenance.
• Climb poles, work from aerial lifts, drive trucks and operate equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues as part of a crew.
• Ensure safety practices and recordkeeping for work performed.
