Xcel Energy’s Distribution Department in Littlefield, TX seeks an Apprentice Lineman (1st–4th year) to build, maintain, and restore high-voltage distribution and transmission lines. The program is a respected Department of Labor apprentice track, with safety and teamwork at its core.

CDL Class A required or obtainable in 120 days. The role involves physical work, potential travel, and on-call responsibilities, with a comprehensive benefits package and a starting base pay of $31.33 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid CDL (Class A) or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Must have successfully taken the EEI CAST Assessment.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality work and customer service.
• Willingness to respond to after-hour and weekend call-outs.
• Travel may be required for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Position will be responsible for construction, maintenance and operations.
• Supports maintenance and emergency repairs of distribution and transmission lines.
