Qualifications

• Must acquire within a reasonable time span knowledge of cooperative safety rules and regulations, RUS Material Specifications, and procedures.
• Safety rules and regulations are detailed in the safety handbook and National Electrical Safety Code.
• Must possess or obtain a Texas commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Assist line crews in the construction, maintenance and operation of distribution lines.
• Set anchors, poles, and frames per REA qualifications.
• Load and unload poles, transformers and other items.
• Help build line and facilities and account for materials.
• Observe hazards and maintain safety practices.
• Set and remove meter loops and electrical equipment as directed.
