Job summary

United Cooperative Services is seeking an Apprentice Lineman I for our Stephenville Operations Department. The candidate must hold a valid Class A CDL with acceptable MVR, pass pre-employment physical and drug screen, and be able to start at $27.63 per hour.

This is an active training role with progressive pay and comprehensive benefits. The position involves assisting line crews in overhead and underground distribution work, operating equipment, and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Must obtain Texas commercial driver’s license within a reasonable time.
• Must have valid CDL Class A with acceptable MVR and able to meet pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists line crews in construction, maintenance and operation of distribution lines.
• Operates vehicles and performs groundwork while following safety policies and procedures.
• Sets poles, anchors, frames and aligns according to REA qualifications.
• Loads and unloads poles, transformers and other items; manages material flow in warehouse.
