Responsibilities

• Climbs poles or rides in bucket to install or repair wires and hardware on poles.
• Installs and repairs underground facilities such as cables, transformers, pedestals.
• Installs pole hardware and auxiliary equipment (transformers, arresters, switches, fuses, insulators).
• Covers energized lines with rubber goods for safe handling without interrupting service.
• Uses hot sticks and insulated gear for energized line work.
• May service streetlight systems and patrol power lines.
• Performs related or less skilled work as assigned.
