Basic Functions

We have immediate openings for Lineman skilled in construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. This position works at various locations and may also be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands.

Responsibilities

Lineman will work safely in new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized and de-energized overhead work. Overhead wire, set poles and anchors, install transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. Will troubleshoot primary and secondary systems, replace cutout fuses and clear faulted circuits and systems. Capable of safely installing and removing mechanical jumpers, understanding how to obtain a one shot on a re-closer. Must be able to climb different types of structures (wood, steel, etc.) and possess the necessary tools to do so.

Qualifications

• CDL required
• Clean background
• Willing to travel
• TWIC and Basic Plus is a plus
• Experience in overhead and underground line work
• Termination and splicing experience required

Minimum Requirements

• Must have 2 years minimum of recent field experience or coursework in Powerline trade
• Safety-minded and follows safety regulations
• Valid Driver’s License, Commercial Driver’s License is required
• Willing to submit to pre-employment, random, and for-cause drug testing
