Job summary

FedEx is seeking an operations professional to dispatch transportation equipment per the Linehaul plan in California. You will follow Linehaul schedules, maximize trailer capacity, and ensure on-time pickup and delivery while entering events in the TMS and performing yard verifications.

Ideal candidates have dispatch or related experience and strong time management, communication, and regulatory knowledge. This role supports safety initiatives and requires adherence to DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Linehaul operations and DOT regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with dispatch and customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches transportation equipment according to the Linehaul plan.
• Ensures dispatch and arrival rules are followed per procedures.
• Dispatches cargo to maximize trailer volume and meet delivery obligations.
• Enters dispatch events into the TMS for on-time delivery and pickup.
• Verifies equipment location and load/unload status in the yard.
• Reports delays, accidents, or equipment failures and implements contingencies.
• Reviews TLCRs and supports safety and regulatory compliance.
• Compiles data and prepares reports for management.
