Job summary

Marathon Cheese Corporation in Booneville, MS is hiring Line Workers to feed cheese onto a state-of-the-art production line for wrapping and packaging. Starting pay is $19 per hour, with a $1.00 per hour shift differential on 2nd shift and $1.50 on 3rd shift; excellent and affordable benefits are provided.

Duties include setting up and weighing product, packing into boxes, stacking pallets, inspecting seals and dates, using box erecting and labeling equipment, and performing sanitation.

Job description

We are currently seeking Line Workers. Starting pay rate is $19+ per hour. Shift differential is an additional $1.00 per hour for 2nd Shift and $1.50 per hour for 3rd Shift. We offer excellent and affordable benefits.

Line Worker's Duties

• Feed cheese onto state of the art production line for wrapping and packaging.
• Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF and established safety rules and regulations.
• Set-up scales, operate scales to weigh product for packaging.
• Ability to pack cheese product into boxes, stack boxes on pallets and inspect packages and boxes or good seals and code dates.
• Understand and utilize box erecting, case sealing, and labeling equipment.
• Perform sanitation of the work area and equipment as needed.

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Must be able to read and write English and perform basic math calculations.
• Must be able to give and accept constructive criticism and work as a team player.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred . Education beyond High School would be a plus. Prior manufacturing and/or packaging experience desirable.

Working Conditions

Work inside a clean air-controlled manufacturing environment. Required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift 25 pounds frequently and 45 pounds occasionally.

Core Hours

1st Shift: Monday thru Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. *Saturday hours are generally 6:00 am to 12:00 pm.

2nd Shift: Monday thru Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. *Saturday hours are generally 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

3rd Shift: Monday thru Friday, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. *Saturday hours are generally 6:00 pm to 12:00 am or until Sanitation is complete.

Saturday hours are dependent on production and staffing needs.
