Job summary

Haco Culinary in Manteno, IL is seeking a QC Inspector to ensure product quality across raw materials, in-process and finished goods. This hourly role reports to the QC Supervisor and requires performing line clearances, routine analyses, and adherence to SOPs to maintain traceability and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate with a background in science (Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology) or equivalent work experience.
• Competence in math and calculations with computer skills.
• Attention to details and ability to recognize non-conformance to SOP.
• Good organization skills and detailed in reporting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with other departments in production environment.
• Knowledge of general manufacturing environment & practices (desired).
• Business acumen (desired).

Responsibilities

• Conducts line inspections prior to start-up and verifies Line Clearance requirements.
• Performs swab and allergen tests; communicates results to production for line release.
• Ensures GMP compliance and documents results in SafetyChain.
• Performs metal detector tests every 2 hours on all lines; records results.
• Records results in SafetyChain and ensures tests are completed at start/end of runs.
• Compares results to specifications and informs QC Supervisor of non-conformances.
• Maintains SOP compliance, prepares incident reports, and retains samples for traceability.
• Collects samples for micro and environmental testing as per sampling scheme.
• Inspects incoming raw materials and reports non-conformances to QC Supervisor.
