Job summary

Haco Culinary in Manteno, Illinois seeks a QA leader to maintain the quality system, review supplier docs, and ensure regulatory compliance across operations. You will work closely with the Manteno Quality Manager and COI teams to drive continuous improvement and robust food safety practices.

The role requires coordinating with R&D, FSQA, purchasing and production to align procedures, develop labeling formats, and ensure product integrity at both plant locations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field.
• 5+ years in food manufacturing environment and/or laboratory.
• Skilled in statistical charts, trend data analysis and problem solving.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple departments, suppliers and customers.
• Must multi-task, stay organized and be precise.
• Leadership with high attention to detail.
• Proficient with computer systems including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat and QA portals.
• Willing to work flexible hours for inspections/audit coverage.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mixing instructions to meet product specs.
• Align processing procedures across plant locations and verify SOPs annually.
• Assist during first productions of new products to ensure correct materials.
• Create re-work orders and validate MRB instructions when needed.
• Publish finished goods and packaging specifications for compliance.
• Conduct HACCP analyses on new materials and products.
• Coordinate with COI R&D and quality teams on new products and non-conformances.
• Develop nutrition labeling and ingredient statements per regulations.
