Job summary

Orbia Connectivity Solutions Dura-Line in Sandersville, GA is seeking a Line Operator to run an extrusion line, monitor quality, and document operating conditions to produce pipe within tolerances.

Requirements include 1 year of manufacturing equipment operation experience and basic math/measurement skills. Night differential applies; a comprehensive benefits package is available, including health, 401(k), PTO and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Basic math/measurement & reading comprehension skills.
• At least 1 year of equipment or machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools.
• Ability to follow work instructions and use basic math.
• Material handling and forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks of equipment, materials, and product; monitor extruders.
• Adjust the extruder, die, water, and vacuum to maintain product quality.
• Ensure the pipe print line is applied according to the Quality Manual.
• Ensure product dimensions, tolerances, and appearance meet quality standards and inform the Supervisor or Lead of any changes.
• Perform SDR and size changes, setup, and changeover activities.
• Document product dimensions accurately.
• Correct output, quality, speed, and tooling changes as needed.
• Coordinate changes with other extrusion line operators.
• Report unsafe or broken equipment.
• Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
