Job summary

Orotex seeks an Injection Machine Operator to operate the injection line efficiently and accurately at our Novi, Michigan plant on the 3rd shift (S-Th 11 pm - 7:30 am).

You will inspect parts for defects, package to customer specifications, and help the team meet daily production goals while following all safety rules and Orotex policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of prior plant experience preferred.
• Experience with injection molding preferred.
• Ability to understand spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts for defects and ensure quality.
• Package products per customer specifications.
• Operate injection molding machine to produce parts.
• Meet production goals and follow work instructions.
• Label completed parts accurately and maintain a clean work area.

Purpose of the Position

To operate the Injection Machine line efficiently and accurately. Ensure manufactured products are inspected and packaged according to customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect parts for defects (i.e. shorts, flash, etc.)
• Package product per custom requirements and packing specifications
• Operate injection machine to produce products
• Ensure production goals are met
• Carefully follow all work instructions
• Complete daily production and quality reports
• Accurately label all completed parts
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Follow all Orotex policies and safety rules, other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to understand spoken and written English
• Ability to work overtime and needed
• 1 year previous plant experience preferred
• Previous knowledge of injection molding preferred
• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk for 8 plus hours daily
• Ability to use both hand, wrists, and arms with continual motion
• Ability to push, pull, grasp, and reach objects
• Ability to lift 50 plus pounds repeatedly
