Overview

We serve the medical industry doing important work! Located just outside of Ottoville, we offer outstanding working conditions. We offer our associates a controlled environment, meaning you will work in a clean, air‑conditioned plant with no forklift traffic or loud presses! Work is very light, non‑assembly line work with very light lifting. Frequent rotation of assignments daily to prevent fatigue and offer exposure to all jobs. High automation and very limited physical demands.

Position Summary

Oversee and operate machines in a manufacturing or a clean‑room environment, maintaining processes and procedures along with safety and quality manufacturing requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and pack parts to meet quality and production standards. This may include a group of machines or a single manually attended machine.
• Work with other operators to maintain and improve the working environment.
• Maintain documentation and paperwork to support production activities.
• Obtain training from supervisor, set‑up personnel and technicians to enhance knowledge and experience in all aspects of the operation.
• Work with the quality department personnel to ensure understanding and maintain current quality standards.
• Be responsible for the housekeeping and safety of work areas.
• Have flexibility and ability to work in all areas assigned to meet customer requirements.
• Visually inspect product for common defects and pack parts per operator instructions.
• Work overtime as required.
• Adhere to the quality policy and core values of the organization.

Education and Job Experience Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
• Subject to intermittent and changing noise levels from operating machines.
• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
• Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
• Skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid.
• Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor.
• Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to grasp, pinch, grip, clip small parts.
• Exert up to 10–20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Exert 25–50 pounds of force occasionally.
• Exert 50–100 pounds of force minimally.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
• Use of personal protective equipment (e.g., ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.) and following good manufacturing practices.
• Normal manufacturing and clean‑room environment.
