Shift: 3rd Shift 11:00 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.

Starting Pay: $17.50/hour

Shift Premium: $2.00/hour

Job Overview

The Line Operator is responsible for operating an extrusion line to ensure products are defect-free and within manufacturing tolerances. Responsibilities include adjusting and documenting operating conditions to produce high-quality pipe safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor operating parameters of extruders.
2. Adjust extruder, die, water, or vacuum to ensure quality.
3. Ensure proper pipe marking and dimensions within tolerances.
4. Report specification changes to Supervisors or Leads.
5. Perform SDR and size changes, including setup and changeover.
6. Stack and bundle finished products.
7. Maintain on-line quality control and document all dimensions accurately.
8. Support a safe working environment and comply with safety policies.
9. Complete tasks assigned by Supervisors.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to work in a team, be reliable, self-motivated, and quick learner.
• Knowledge of downstream operations and equipment such as extruders, printers, and quality standards.
• Valid forklift license preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 60 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to operate machinery and work at heights.
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

• Pay: $17.50/hour + $2.00 night shift differential.
• Sign-on bonus: $500 after 90 days; $1,000 after 180 days.
