Job summary

DAP is seeking a Machine Operator for the Baltimore plant to ensure packaging and filling lines run smoothly, minimize downtime, and support accurate inventory reporting.

Rolls include operating multiple lines, conducting quality checks, and assisting in line changeovers. Overtime is available; salary is hourly with benefits and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for long periods.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Willingness to operate in a fast-paced production setting.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging and filling lines, monitor filling operation, package finished product and perform line changeovers.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by reporting usage and reducing waste.
• Record downtime and production logs; complete paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow safety rules.
• Flexibility to work in other areas as needed by the business.

JOB DESCRIPTION

DAP has an exciting opportunity for Machine Operators at our Baltimore Plant!

This position supports the plant's manufacturing operation by ensuring the various packaging and filling equipment runs smoothly and minimizes downtime.

Below is the available shift schedule:

• 2nd Shift (Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM)

Overtime is available/required. Associates earn double-time pay for all hours worked in excess of 50 hours in your standard work week!

Responsibilities:

• Operates a variety of packaging and filling lines including: placing of packaging on the line, monitoring the filling operation, packing-off finished product, performing quality checks and assisting in the cleaning and changeover of the line.
• Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory by proper reporting of material usage, minimizing waste, reporting any spills, and ensuring all items per case and cases per pallet counts are accurate.
• Utilize RF scanner and SAP system.
• Maintain production logs to accurately record downtime/issues. Completes all paperwork accurately.
• Performs housekeeping duties to ensure a neat and orderly work area.
• Abides by all departmental and plant safety rules.
• Works in other areas as required by business needs.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand for periods of up to 3 hours at a time
• Ability to climb steps/ladders
• Must wear required PPE at all times throughout the shift (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others

Pay Rate:

$20.09/hr
