Job summary

LUMA Energy in Puerto Rico is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily field and support teams, assign priorities, monitor execution, and run operations meetings to ensure timely, safe, and efficient work.

You will analyze resource needs, support outage planning, train staff, enforce OSHA/NESC safety standards, and drive continuous improvement while managing budgets and cross-functional coordination during restoration efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; BS in Engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive utility/field operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with OSHA and NESC safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates daily operations and workforce activities by assigning tasks, establishing priorities, monitoring execution, and leading operations meetings.
• Analyzes resource needs and operational readiness by supporting workforce and equipment planning, coordinating milestones and outage response.
• Trains and develops employees providing coaching and addressing skill gaps for a safe, high performing workforce.
• Reinforces safety compliance by modeling safe work practices and maintaining a respectful environment.
• Evaluates distribution system performance by analyzing feeder data, outage trends, and equipment conditions.
• Tracks and manages expenses including timesheets, overtime, invoices, and requisitions.
• Resolves employee concerns and conflicts, including unionized environments, maintaining a positive workplace.
