Appalachian Power Co. in Rocky Mount, VA seeks an Apprentice Line Mechanic to assist with installing, maintaining, and inspecting overhead and underground transmission components.

You’ll operate line trucks under supervision and progress through D-100, D-200, and D-300 training as you gain skills. No prior experience is required; reside within 45 minutes of the Rocky Mount Service Center and obtain a CDL beginner's permit within 60 days.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• CDL beginner permit required within 60 days.

Mansioni

• Assist with assembly, installation, maintenance and inspection of overhead and underground facilities.
• Drive and operate line trucks and related equipment under supervision.
• Progress through D-100, D-200, and D-300 training levels to operate specialized equipment.
