Job summary

The Gorilla Glue Company is seeking a Production Line Lead to direct a production line, ensure safety, and maintain quality and efficiency on a daily basis. You will lead line personnel, verify components, and ensure timely paperwork while upholding the company’s safety and quality protocols.

As a leader on the line, you will actively participate in improvements, train new staff, and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime and strengthen our brand through high-quality products.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Train the trainer certification, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the priority and address safety issues before other line tasks.
• Ensure all people on the line are properly trained, and quality standard is always met.
• Direct line workers to meet KPIs while balancing safety and quality.
• Create and communicate a rotation sheet.
• Assist with shift-start safety, quality, and production huddles.
• Follow directions from the team leader and supervisor.
• Support the training curriculum of new employees.
• Ensure and validate that proper components are brought to the production line.
• Complete and verify paperwork each shift and turn in as required.
• Enter tracking data and documents to capture shift efficiency and trends.
• Have basic working knowledge of the machines to diagnose and correct minor issues.
• Lead/Assist in all changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Contact and work with maintenance to resolve equipment issues on the production lines.
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement events and activities.
• Lead special projects such as repackaging or reworking.
