George's Chicken is seeking a Lead I to assist with setting up, adjusting, maintaining, and configuring processing equipment according to specifications. The role requires regular communication with the production team and completion of required paperwork.

The position involves turning equipment on and off, performing visual inspections, monitoring material flow, assisting line mechanics, ensuring proper coding and graphics, and supporting shifts by relieving operators when needed.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Preferred: Previous poultry processing experience

Responsibilities

• Turns on equipment at start of shift and shuts down at end.
• Perform visual inspections and complete run documentation to ensure defect-free work.
• Monitor material flow through the machine.
• Perform minor packaging changeovers and change-over to proper raw material.
• Assist line mechanics with machinery repair or other tasks as needed.
• Ensure equipment is on and functioning properly before starting a run.
• Air on, conveyors on, proper coding on boxes/trays/cases, and graphics acceptable.
• Clear machine of all products at end of run and after shift.
• Assist in relieving machine operators for breaks.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
