Job summary

George's Inc. in Edinburg, VA is hiring for a Lead I role in our poultry processing facility.

You will assist with set up, adjust, maintain, and configure processing equipment, verify correct labeling and packaging, and communicate with the production team to ensure smooth runs. The position requires attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and willingness to perform routine inspections and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Education/experience: none required; poultry processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Turn on equipment at the beginning of shift and shut down equipment at the end.
• Perform visual inspections and complete documentation during the run.
• Monitor the flow of materials through machine.
• Perform minor package changeovers and change-over to proper raw material.
• Assist line mechanics in machinery repair or other tasks as/if needed.
• Ensure that all equipment is on and functioning properly prior to starting a run.
• Clear your machine of all products at end of each run and at the end of your shift.
• Assist in relieving machine operators for breaks.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
