Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Line Haul Driver to join our OD Family Culture. You will operate various tractor-trailer combinations over long distances, delivering our customers’ freight with precision and reliability.

Our drivers typically work a 5-day workweek and are home most nights, offering a strong work-life balance. With an average annual pay of $107,000, this position also includes a Tuition Reimbursement Program for recent trucking school graduates.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months tractor trailer driving experience or be a graduate of a State Certified and Licensed truck driving school.
• Must be able to read, write speak English, and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements.
• Must pass DOT medical standards, drug test and alcohol test (where applicable).
• Must satisfactorily complete orientation/training by an OD qualified driver trainer.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations over long distances and deliver freight with safety and reliability.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure load securement and stability.
• Record deliveries using tablets or smartphones; navigate and document movements.
• Unload and secure freight at destination and assist with loading as needed.
• Be available for around-the-clock shifts and extended periods away from home.
