Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Line Haul Driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations over long distances, delivering freight with precision and reliability. Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must have 12 months tractor-trailer driving experience and/or graduate of a State Certified truck driving school or completed ODTDT.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazmat endorsements.
• Must pass DOT medical, drug and alcohol tests and orientation.
• Must be able to operate hand held devices and read maps/road signs.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer safely according to DOT regulations.
• Meet or exceed medical standards and pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections before trips.
• Ensure loads are stable and properly secured for transit.
• Adjust load securement and distribution as needed.
• Use tablets/phones to record deliveries and navigate.
• Unsecure freight at delivery and unload with hand truck.
• Be available for around-the-clock shifts and extended away-from-home periods.
