Job DescriptionJob Description

A machine shop and metal fabrication company in Indianapolis, IN is looking for a Line Equipment Operator for a 1st shift opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate weights and measures
  • Maintains accurate compliance with packaging instructions and criteria
  • Responsible for operational settings and adjustment of assigned equipment for compliance with packaging instructions and criteria
  • Assists the Crew Leader or Supervisor in the completion of daily production reports
  • Maintains equipment and immediate area of work station in a neat and orderly condition
  • Will be trained for competent operation in a minimum of five (5) work stations
  • Responsible for operations settings and adjustments of assigned equipment for compliance with quality and productions standards

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read, understand and comply with Bills of Material, processing/work instructions and packaging instructions
  • Must not be blind
  • Must be able to lift up 50 - 75 lbs. (repetitively)
  • Must be able to do cycle counts of materials, - i.e. Labels, boxes and cartons, etc
  • Must be able to report production output and activities
  • Must be able to present production information to management
  • Safely and effectively operate all equipment necessary to perform assigned duties
  • Ability to read and write
  • Must be able to use a tape measure
  • Must be able to work in hot environments
