Job summary

Max a Mia in Avon, CT is seeking a skilled Line Cook with open availability to join a high-energy kitchen. The role focuses on wood-fired pizzas, pasta, and Italian-inspired entrées, with a pay range of $19.00–$24.00 per hour.

You will prep, cook, and plate dishes to spec, maintain cleanliness, follow recipes, and collaborate with a tight-knit culinary team to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Line Cook (2–3 years strongly preferred).
• Experience in upscale-casual or fine-dining kitchens with Italian cuisine, wood-fired dishes, or pizza is a plus.
• Ability to work across grill, sauté, pizza oven and prep stations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications, focusing on wood-fired pizzas, pasta, and Italian-inspired entrees.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times.
• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards to ensure consistency and quality.
• Assist with daily prep tasks, including chopping, prepping sauces, and organizing ingredients.
• Ensure proper rotation and storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and fellow cooks to ensure smooth service.
