Job summary

Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group is seeking dedicated team members for our brunch-forward kitchen. Accurately and efficiently prepare hot foods and portions for cooking, and assist with plating and garnishing to present high-quality dishes.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of kitchen experience, can follow Ruby Standards and recipes, keep a clean and sanitary work area, and communicate clearly with managers and fellow krewe members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Able to follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products and portion food prior to cooking.
• Plate and garnish cooked items and prepare appropriate garnishes for hot menu items.
• Follow standards, recipes, and kitchen rules while prioritizing quality and safety.

Job Summary:

Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products as well as prepare and portion food prior to cooking. Responsible for performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

What does it take to be a Ruby Krewe Member?

• A firm belief that butter and bacon make everything better!
• Able to follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently - responsible for the quality of products served
• Complies with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members
• Be able to reach, bend stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
