P.F. Chang’s China Bistro in Northbrook, IL is hiring immediately for Line Cooks at multiple kitchen roles. Full- and part-time hourly positions offer on-the-job training, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to advance within the company.

Candidates need a positive attitude, ability to learn recipes, and the stamina to stand long shifts. Prior experience isn't required, and a Food Handler’s Card is helpful. You’ll cook to recipe specs and maintain sanitation standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler’s Card is required where applicable, or assistance will be provided to obtain one.
• Love for food and attention to weights, measurements, and volumes.
• Willingness to learn restaurant menu and recipes.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals used in the kitchen.
• Excellent customer service and etiquette in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy kitchen with teamwork.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food items to company specifications.
• Plate prepared foods based on chef’s guidance.
• Set up, operate, break down, and clean all kitchen equipment.
• Assist with washing dishes, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and sanitizing utensils.
• Uphold high kitchen sanitation and food safety standards.
