Qualifications

• Three years of kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Japanese cuisine knowledge preferred but not required.

• Handle food in a safe and hygienic manner that adheres to all company and government policies and protocols.
• Work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of food – items prepared accurately and to the highest standards.
• Know the menu – learn the entire food menu thoroughly.
• Minimize waste of all food and kitchen items.
• Prepare rice – washing, cooking, and preparing sushi rice per recipe.
• Oversee inventory – ensure order accuracy and proper fish quantities.
• Contribute to kitchen personnel training.
• Perform side jobs – clean stations and store food properly.
• Abide by all labor health and safety laws.
