Job summary

Heritage Palms HOA in Indio, CA seeks a full-time staff member to manage fitness center operations and assist in maintaining high resident service standards.

The role also supports kitchen production for grille, banquets, and events, ensuring sanitation, safety, and quality in all food prep and service.

Candidates should have at least two years in professional kitchen production and be able to work in a team, lift up to 50 lbs, and follow health standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in a professional kitchen production environment.
• Knowledge of approved sanitation methods.
• Capable of working in a team concept environment.
• Moderate physical effort involving long periods of standing/walking and lifting up to 25–50 lbs.
• Exposure to chemicals used in a commercial kitchen environment.

Description

Heritage Palms has over 1000+ homes, serving a blended community of 55+ members. Heritage Palms prides itself in exceptional tailored customer service for each member. The Fitness attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operations of the fitness center within Heritage Palms. This role involves providing excellent customer service to residents, ensuring that the fitness equipment is properly maintained and supporting residents in their fitness routines.

• Oversees all food production operations in the kitchen for grille, banquets, halfway house and beverage cart.
• Assures standards of food production, quality and storage.
• Oversee food production for banquets and events
• Assure methods are in place to produce high quality food in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Assure all equipment is in good repair and working order – communicate situations with Chef
• Assure all kitchen staff are included in appropriate training programs
• Assure standards for safety are in place and that all staff are aware and practice safety measures.
• Work with chef in ordering receiving and storing deliveries.
• Assure temperatures in all coolers are maintained at advised and appropriate levels
• Sanitation procedures must be followed daily and housekeeping and health cleaning techniques practiced daily – assuring governing agencies standards are in place.
• Assures that food preparation and presentation of consistent with established recipes.
• Must wear clean uniform keep hair covered with a net or cap during food prep and maintain acceptable personal hygiene standards.
• This position may be requested to perform tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
