Job summary

Heritage Palms HOA is hiring a PM Bartender to deliver friendly, professional beverage service to members and guests in a 55+ community. You will prepare beers, wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks, manage orders, and maintain a clean bar.

Under the Dining Room Supervisor and F&B Management, you’ll support dining and banquet operations, ensuring accurate transactions and excellent guest experiences during events and normal service hours.

Qualifications

Position Summary

Heritage Palms is a 55+ community with more than 1,000 homes and a strong commitment to providing exceptional, personalized service to its members and guests.


Under the direction of the Dining Room Supervisor and F&B Management, the PM Bartender is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, professional, and friendly beverage service to members and guests. The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, process transactions accurately, maintain a clean and organized bar, and assist with dining and banquet operations as needed.


The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, attentive to detail, knowledgeable about beverage service, and committed to creating a welcoming experience for every member and guest.



  • Provide exceptional customer service while anticipating and responding promptly to member and guest needs.

  • Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.

  • Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, specialty beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks according to established recipes and service standards.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the beverage menu and provide recommendations or answer questions regarding available beverages.

  • Maintain awareness of responsible alcohol-service practices and follow all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.

  • Verify identification when required and appropriately refuse alcohol service when necessary.

  • Take beverage and food orders accurately and enter orders into the POS system.

  • Maintain accurate checks, signatures, payments, and other transactions.

  • Process member charges, credit card, and other approved payment methods according to established procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.

  • Complete opening, closing, and daily bar side work as assigned.

  • Clean and sanitize bar surfaces, glassware, tools, equipment, coolers, and service areas.

  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other supplies as needed.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, damaged equipment, or supply needs to the appropriate F&B supervisor or manager.

  • Maintain proper storage and handling of alcoholic beverages, food products, and other supplies.

  • Follow all established Association and F&B policies, procedures, service standards, and sanitation requirements.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

  • Assist dining room and banquet operations as needed based on business volume and direction from F&B Management.

  • Provide beverage and food service for private events, member functions, banquets, and other special events.

  • Follow all details and service requirements outlined in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

  • Perform banquet setup, breakdown, and side work as assigned by F&B Management.

  • Assist with event preparation, service, and cleanup as needed.

  • Report housekeeping, maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate F&B Manager or Supervisor.

  • Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with homeowners, members, outside guests, coworkers, supervisors, and management.

  • Attend all mandatory meetings, trainings, and orientations provided by Heritage Palms, the HOA, or Food & Beverage Management.

  • Perform other duties and work-related projects as assigned.

Schedule & Availability


  • Seasonal, variable schedule based on business needs and scheduled events.

  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be available to work extended shifts and high-volume event periods as needed.

  • Hours may vary based on banquet schedules, member events, private functions, and operational requirements.


Qualifications & Requirements


  • Previous restaurant, fine dining, banquet, food-running, or hospitality experience preferred.

  • Previous experience in a four-star/four-diamond country club, resort, hotel, or fine dining environment preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Must possess or obtain a valid Food Handler Card as required.

  • Must be TIPS Certified or obtain TIPS certification as required by the company.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with members, guests, management, and coworkers.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

  • Ability to read and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards.

  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

The employee may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather, extreme heat or cold, cleaning products, and other conditions commonly associated with food and beverage and banquet operations.


Required Certifications


  • Food Handler Card, as required.

  • TIPS alcohol-service certification, as required.

  • Any additional certifications required by applicable law, Association policy, or F&B Management.
