Job summary

Jack’s is seeking a line cook to own a station, execute our menu to spec, and deliver scratch-made plates in a fast, well-run kitchen.

We want 1+ year line cook experience, solid knife skills, and a team player with a strong work ethic who can work nights, weekends, and holidays. ServSafe is a plus or obtainable on hire.

Compensation ranges from $15–$19 per hour, with benefits like 401K matching, shift meals, and flexible scheduling. Opportunities for growth across five restaurants are available.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of line cook experience in a full-service or scratch kitchen.
• Solid knife skills and a working knowledge of cooking techniques.
• ServSafe certification a plus (or willingness to obtain on hire).
• A team player with a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency.
• Reliable, punctual, and available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and break down your assigned station efficiently and cleanly.
• Prepare and cook menu items to recipe and presentation specs, consistently and on time.
• Handle prep work, portioning, and stocking to keep the line ready for service.
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and expediter during service.
• Manage product properly to control waste and protect food cost.
• Stay composed and dialed in during high-volume rushes.
