Job summary

Plum Market West Bloomfield is seeking a Line Cook to handle the preparation and execution of daily food production in the Prepared Foods Department, including showcase, cold bar, grab & go, and catering. Qualifications

• Strong culinary fundamentals and cooking techniques.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen or food production setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and rotation.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and production guides accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for the showcase, cold bar, catering, and grab & go according to recipes and guides.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, labeling, and rotation.
• Ensure food is cooked, held, and served at correct temperatures and consistency.
• Monitor prep levels and communicate production needs to leadership.
• Follow sanitation protocols, use gloves, labels, and logs.
• Support team during peak times and maintain kitchen flow.
• Communicate effectively with team, customers, store leadership, and directors.
• Uphold Plum Market policies and SOPs.
