Job summary

Culinary Khancepts is seeking a line cook to join our multi-concept restaurant group. The position involves plating dishes and completing basic food prep tasks for a restaurant. The main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas, and ensuring the kitchen is stocked.

Qualifications

• Must handle high volume shifts efficiently.
• Solid understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Demonstrates accuracy and speed in completing tasks.
• Aptitude for multi-tasking in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
