Job summary

Fresh Meal Plan, LLC in Boca Raton is seeking a dedicated kitchen prep cook to accurately and efficiently cook and prepare meats, fish, vegetables, and other food items. You will also portion, plate, and package dishes, ensuring quality and consistency across all stations.

The role requires adherence to recipes, safety standards, and proper kitchen procedures, with opportunities for advancement within a collaborative team and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow printed recipes and plate specifications.
• Comfort working in refrigerated/freezer environments.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including equipment.
• Prepares items for cooking by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and marinating.
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
• Open/close the kitchen properly and follows closing checklist.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager.
